There are many ways to become a better salesperson. In my opinion you have sales in you, some are just better than others at bringing it out. People often ask me “What do you really say that makes you sell” It’s crazy that there are so many people who still can’t see the whole depth. Communication consists of 7% words. What does that mean? Sales is not about what you say, it’s how you say it.
I don’t have the best vocabulary, some words don’t come out right, and sometimes I say the wrong word. Despite these mistakes, it has never been a variable that affects whether I sell or not. What sells is when you have the right mental attitude and are in the right emotional state. When you’re in the right emotional state, several processes occur that help you sell:
- You become creative, making everything you say sound like gold.
- You stop caring about what people think and feel about you
- Let go of the dependency on future results with the customer and you live the conversation in the moment. The rest takes care of the process.
- You “give value”, instead of taking value from the customer.
Training the RMI (right mental attitude) and emotional state is the single best way to achieve sustainable results quickly, very quickly. This is something I will go into more detail in several posts in the future. For now, you will have to settle for this taste test
